About Yogii Madhura

I was that woman who kept pushing through.

For years, I watched women around me — at work, at home, in my classes — accept exhaustion and cycle pain as simply part of being a woman. I knew it did not have to be that way.

With over 17 years of deep practice in Yoga Therapy, Naturopathy, Sujok and Varma Therapy, I developed what I now call Menstrual Yogascience — a way of meeting women exactly where they are in their cycle and giving their body what it actually needs.

I have worked with women across schools, colleges, corporate organisations and one-to-one sessions — in Chennai and online worldwide. I teach in English, Tamil and Hindi, because I believe this knowledge should reach every woman.

What is Menstrual Yogascience?

Menstrual Yogascience is a term coined by Yogii Madhura that bridges yoga therapy with modern menstrual health science. Rather than using the same practice every day, it means tailoring yoga, breathwork, naturopathy and lifestyle practices to each specific phase of your menstrual cycle.

Do I need prior yoga experience?

Not at all. Programs are designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. What matters more than experience is willingness to listen to your body. Madhura teaches in English, Tamil and Hindi.

Can I join if I have PCOS, endometriosis or thyroid issues?

Yes. Many women in the programs have these conditions. The approach is always therapeutic and personalised. Practices are adapted to your specific health situation. We recommend continuing your medical treatment alongside these holistic practices, not instead of them.

How soon will I see results?

Many women notice improvements in energy, mood and sleep within the first cycle. More significant changes — less period pain, more regular cycles, reduced PMS — typically appear within 2 to 3 cycles of consistent practice. Deep hormonal change takes longer, and that is completely normal.

Are sessions available online?

Yes. All 1-on-1 coaching, group programs and courses are available fully online — worldwide. In-person sessions and workshops are available in Chennai. Corporate programs are available both online and in-person depending on your location.

What makes this different from a regular yoga class?

A regular yoga class gives everyone the same practice regardless of where they are in their cycle. Menstrual Yogascience tailors everything — the asanas, breathwork, rest, lifestyle guidance — to your specific phase. It also combines yoga with naturopathy, Sujok and Varma therapy for a deeper therapeutic effect.
